This album cover is inspired by the late Vaughan Oliver, a designer from North East England who was renowned for his unconventional approach to representing music in album covers, such as with his work for the Breeders. Capture the essence of the music, and run far with it.
The aesthetic of the cover - constructed using food colouring in a vast container - extends to the design of the vinyl. The lyrics are arranged chronologically, but reading them as it plays may not be so easy.
This design had the honour of receiving the Vaughan Oliver Graphic Design Scholarship as a joint winner in 2023.
